'Winter is Coming' Art Work!
Our grade ones have been learning what animals do to survive the winter (hibernate, migrate or adapt). After completing a directed drawing of a fox, colouring it and cutting it out, they painted a watercolour sky, acrylic black trees accented with lovely white snow and glued the fox to the foreground of their pictures. The results were terrific!

Dallas from the Squamish Nation Visits the Grade Ones!
The children had a wonderful time learning more about First Nations culture on Thursday, and in particular, they enjoyed learning about the importance of animals. Dallas taught the children the deer dance, bear dance, wolf dance, whale dance, and eagle dance and presented various artifacts of importance.

Halloween Fun!
After the excitement of seeing each other's costumes, the children paraded on up to the gym where they joined in on the fun, singing and dancing. Later, we sang spooky songs, read Halloween stories, saw a Franklin's Halloween video, and feasted on the goodies provided by our many generous families. We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you!
